Directions to CD Academies

CD Busanjin

Take subway line #2 (the green line) and get off at the Dongeui University stop (just west of Seomyeon station). Walk straight out of exit #7 and walk on the same side of the road as the exit. After walking for about 20 metres you should be able to see the ChungDahm Institute sign hanging on the left of a 4 storey building. The big blue emblem will be on the glass doors. Downstairs is a GM Daewoo dealership.

CD Dongnae

(Sometimes spelled “Dongrae”, which is the true translation of the Korean script to English)

Take the subway to Dongnae station. As you walk out of exit 1, you’ll see a large road in front of you. Cross this road using the crosswalk to the immediate left of the exit. Take that across, when the green walking light is on (obviously), and walk straight down the next large road (that’s usually packed with traffic). Walk about 1 1/2 blocks passing a large BBQ restaurant on your right with an underground parking lot. The 2nd building after that is a bluish/white triangular building. The large (blue/white) Chung Dahm Learning (CD) sign hangs over the left of the building — it’s 청담어학원 in Hangul. There is a pharmacy on the first floor. It’s approximately 150 metres from the subway exit you came out of.

You have to walk around the building veering a sharp right after you get to the end of the building because the entrance is on the other side. This street meets the main one at a 30 degree angle. Take the entrance/stairwell up to the 2nd floor.

CD Geumjeong

Take the main subway line # 1 (brown) to the Guseo-dong stop . Walk out of exit #3 and take an immediate right out of the exit. Walk up the small street for about 100 steps. After passing the Family Mart on the left hand side, take an immediate left up the street for a little more than a block with the big E-Mart to your right. You will start to see a big green sign on the first floor of a building ahead of you with the title “CD April English” on it. CD Geumjeong is in the same building, a couple of floors up. It’s approximately 150 metres from the subway exit.

CD Gwangan(sometimes spelled “Kwangan”)

Get off the Gwangan station and walk out of exit #6. After exiting #6, take an about face, heading a full 180 degrees backwards toward the opposite direction and walk for about 10-15 metres. You’ll see a large modern looking building called Yulim Norway to your left and before you walk across the cross walk, take the small walkway into the building to an elevator. Or if you walk around the building to the elevator on the other side (which is right across a GS25 convenience store), you’re good too. However, do not take the elevator for the residents of the building which is in the middle of the building since it doesn’t stop at the 4th floor where the school is.

CD Hwamyeong

Take subway line #2 (green) towards Hopo and get off at Hwamyeong Station. Walk out of exit #1. After about 20 metres you will come to an intersection. Don’t cross the road, but turn right and go to the end of the block (Lotte Mart will be on your right). Cross the next street and continue walking in the same direction down the block. At the end of the block you will see Dunkin Donuts on the corner. Cross the street again and walk toward the end of the next block. CD Hwamyeong is on the 7th floor of the last building at the end of this block. The entrance to the building is between a KTF phone store and a tiny Sagakin Toastie Shop. It’s about a five minute walk from the subway station. It’s hard to spot, so just look up when you see the building with lots of little signs on it. The sign itself is quite small.

CD Saha

Take the subway line #1 (orange) and get off at Dangni station. It’ll take you 35 minutes from Seomyeon. Take exit 5 and walk up the stairs and straight down the street in the same direction that you exit. Walk until the first real intersection (a crossroad) and the branch is clearly visible on the corner, 3rd floor. Along the way, on the same side of the road you’ll pass a Nonghyup Bank and a KB Bank. It’s about 150-200m from the subway exit, located exactly above a KIA Motors store on level 3.

April English Busanjin

Take subway line #2 (green) to the Gaegeum subway stop. Take exit 1 and continue walking straight for only 10 metres. The April branch is in a building on your right, you can’t miss it.

April English Hwamyeong

Take subway line #2 (green) towards Hopo and get off at Hwamyeong Station (stop #235). Walk out of exit #1. After about 20 metres you will come to an intersection. The entrance to the building is located immediately after the SK Telecom store, and just before a Baskins Robbins and Lotte Gameland and PC room. It’s about a five minute walk from the subway station.

April English Saha

Take subway line #1 (orange) and get off at “Saha Station” (stop#104). It’ll take you 35 minutes from Seomyeon. Take exit #1 and walk straight down the street in the same direction that you exit. As you walk down the main road, you will see the Saha Post Office (marked with a red sign) on your right side. Saha April is located in the building right next to the Post Office. It’s in a grey building on level 2. There’s a CDI April sign on the building, so just keep looking up for it.

April English Gwangan

Located at the exact same building (Yulim Norway) and floor (4th) as CD Gwangan. The branch is located right across CD.

April English Geojae

Take subway line #3 (brown) to the Sports Complex stop (the one after the Geoje stop). Walk straight out of exit 4 and keep walking with the main road on your left. When you get to the first traffic light intersection, you should be able to see a Baskin Robbins ice cream store on the other side of the road. Above this shop to the right is the April English school on level 3/4.

April English Geumjeong

Take the main subway line # 1 (brown) to the Guseo-dong stop . Walk out of exit #3 and take an immediate right out of the exit. Walk up the small street for about 100 steps. After passing the Family Mart on the left hand side, take an immediate left up the street for a little more than a block with the big E-Mart to your right. You will start to see a big green sign on the first floor of a building ahead of you with the title “CD April English” on it.

April English Haeundae

Take subway line no. 2 and get off at the last line, called Jangsan Station.
Take exit no. 10 and go straight for 3 blocks until you see the CD April sign on the 5th floor to your right side.

CDI and April English Changwon

(From Busan city)
You will need to take an intercity bus from Dongnae or Sasang and buy a ticket from the person at the counter. It costs around $4. The trip to Changwon will take around 40-60 minutes. When you reach the city, listen for the bus driver to say “Nam-san Terminal”. You’ll see a row of apartment buildings on your left-hand side after coming out of a tunnel. After getting off, tell the cab driver to go to Dae-Dong Department Store (Dae-dong Baek-hwa-juhm). After getting dropped off, walk around the first building on your left and look out for the “Sky Well-Being Building. There is a Woori Bank on the 1st floor and Mirae Assets in the same building. Go to the 3rd floor & look for the CDI sign. CDI and April English are on the same floor.

Changwon city is located to the west of Busan, approximately 1 hour by bus.

CDI and April English at Gimhae

Located at the Nae-wae Dong district in Gimhae. There is a Lotteria hamburger place at Nae-wae Dong, CDI and April is in Gaya Building, situated right next to Lotteria. CDI is on the fifth floor and April of the fourth floor.

CDI Busan Headquarters Dongnae

Take Exit #1 straight out of Dongnae station. Cross the first main road at the traffic lights and keep walking up the main road as if you were walking to the CDI Dongnae branch. However, keep walking straight and cross the road (left) at the third set of traffic lights. They’re approximately 500 metres up the road. Directly opposite the headquarters on the other side of the road is a huge white billboard showing ‘Crocodile’ clothing merchandise. Our building also has large blue signs on it with 02 on it. Our branch is next to the small Gwang-Hae Hospital and there is a musical instrument shop on the first floor with a blue sign hanging outside. Take the entrance to the left of this shop and we’re on level 2.
