The Geumjeong branch in Busan city is located in the Pusan National University area, where there is always plenty to do at night and lots of shopping. One of the most famous mountains in Korea, Mt Geumjeong is close by, with a cable car and great hiking trails.
Hello to those of you who are lucky enough to be coming to the Geumjeong Branch!
I say lucky for many reasons because we have many great aspects about our branch. I won’t say that I am one of them; I’ll leave that for you to decide. But what I can tell you is that we have one of the best facilities for teaching because we are one of the newest branches in Busan. So expect a clean and modern facility.
Secondly, we have by far the best staff support with a great BM to lead them. We receive a great deal of help from them and this equates to a great teaching experience. They go out of their way to assist us with students and they take time out of their life to take us out and see the sights of beautiful Busan.
Our location is quite advantageous due to the fact that we are a short subway ride away from all the hot spots of Busan where fellow instructors from CD and other academies congregate to kick back and have fun with people like you. I urge all my instructors to have as much fun as they can while they are in a foreign country because this should be a fun experience, not just one of work. If we live life for work alone we forget what we are working for. So you can expect a laid back environment with a great support network.
Since we are a smaller branch we have a tightly knit teaching staff that gets along well and enjoys the many facets of life in Korea. We are quite diverse yet we all get along and have a great time at work with the kids. We are also trying to plan trips outside of Busan as a group so we can experience the full beauty of Korea and its rich culture. I would like to plan a skiing/snowboarding trip this winter as well as a trip to Gyeongju to see the cherry blossom trees in full bloom. If you have never seen this beautiful tree in its entire splendor, it is amazing.
Most importantly we have great kids with a true desire to learn and get the most out of classes. I encourage anyone who comes to Korea to teach, to just get to know the kids and you will find yourself falling in love with these guys. They make work seem like play. I find myself looking forward to classes just to see what they will say or do next.
I look forward to meeting you in person and I am glad that we are lucky enough to have you join our ensemble. I guess luck runs both ways for us. See you soon.
